This 7 days’ tour provides the opportunity to visit the highlight areas of the enigmatic City of Cusco

Day 1: ARRIVAL TO CUSCO – CITY TOUR + 04 RUINS

Arrival to the city of Cusco, reception and transfer to the selected hotel. Free time to rest and acclimatize to the altitude.
In the afternoon, city Tour in Cusco visiting the Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral and the Temple of the Sun or Korikancha.
We will continue out of the city to visit the Inca complexes of Kenko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the impressive Fortress of Sacsayhuamán, famous for its enormous stones carved and assembled with astonishing precision. Some of these stones exceed 9 m. Height and weigh more than 350 tons.

Day 2: TOUR MARAS & MORAY (B)

We start the tour with the pick-up from your hotel at 09:00 hrs we head to the picturesque village of Maras, located 52 km from Cusco at an altitude of 3,380 m; The importance of the place is given by the mines of salt that it possesses; These salt mines are composed of about 3000 small wells of approximately 5 m from which the salt is extracted. The production of salt follows the process of extraction and drying of the salt water from an underground spring. The "Salinas de Maras" have been exploited since the time of the Incas in which it was used as a means of economic exchange.
We then we continue visiting the Archaeological Group of Moray, located about 7 km. Of Maras. Moray is a group of terraces or circular platforms of different sizes, which at the time of the Incas were used as an agricultural experimental center; This was where they performed their studies of adapting plants to new ecosystems. In Moray one observes how the overlapping of the concentric rings of stone widens as it rises; The total depth is one 150 m.
In every place you visit you will have time to enjoy the panorama and take pictures; Once the guided tour is over, we will return to the city of Cusco, the full tour lasts around 5 hours, so we will be back to the city of Cusco at approximately 14:30pm.

Day 3: VISIT THE SACRED VALLEY + TRAIN TO AGUAS CALIENTES (D) (A)

08.00 am Excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will visit the town of Pisac with its typical Indian market where you can appreciate the ancestral customs of its inhabitants, using barter (exchange of products) for commercialization. On Sundays the Mass is celebrated in Quechua. Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon we will pass through Calca and Urubamba on the way to the fortress of Ollantaytambo, constituted by a series of superposed terraces and constructed to take care of the entrance of this part of the valley and to protect it of possible invasions of the settlers of the forest.
19.00 PM. Train to Aguas Calientes
20.45 PM. Arrival to Aguas Calientes and transfer to the selected hotel.

Day 4: VISIT TO MACHU PICCHU (B)

06.00 am Early in the morning we will transfer to the bus station that will take us on a 30 minute journey, ascending a zigzag path, to the incredible Machu Picchu. The tour includes a guided tour of the Citadel, visiting the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the royal quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries. Free time to take a stroll through the citadel or climb to Huaynapicchu (optional).
18.20 PM. Train back to Ollantataytambo in expedition service
21.55 PM. Arrival to the station of Ollantaytambo and private transfer to the city of Cusco

Day 5: VISIT TO THE SOUTH VALLEY (D)

The tour to the south valley starts from the place of arms of Cusco from 8:40 am from Cusco to go to the archaeological center of Tipon.

TIPON:
It is an archeological complex located 18 km from Cusco, which corresponds to the Inca empire in which you can appreciate a spectacular hydraulic system. It was a ceremonial center for water and agricultural production that was very important, then we will visit the archaeological center of Pikillacta.

PIKILLACTA: It is located 30 km from Cusco, the archaeological site of the pre-Inca period, where the narrow streets and houses are preserved over time erected by the Wari culture. Where you can see the wonder of the Huacarpay lagoon, it is best known for having many varieties of birds that this lodge. Then we will continue with our journey to the Sistine Chapel of Andahuaylillas.

ANDAHUAYLILLAS:
We will visit its famous Church, considered the SIXTH CHAPEL OF AMERICA, which excites one of the most beautiful examples of colonial art, its altar is bathed with 24 carat gold leaf, mural, Cusco school canvases and polychrome ceiling after finishing our Visit we will return to cusco 15:00 pm. The tour ends at the Plaza de Armas.

Day 6: HIKE THE RAINBOW MOUNTAIN

The adventure starts very early at 03:00 am we will start picking up your different lodgings and then head to the picturesque village of Pitumarca south of the city of Cusco.
We will arrive at 06:30 am to the picturesque village of Japura (Hanchipata) starting point of our trek, follow 3 and a half hours, up the mountain to reach the village of Machuraccay and then ascend to the slopes of the hill Vinicunca, access control place to this mystical place.
Continuing the walk and we will reach a height of 5033 meters above sea level. Top of the mysterious mountain of 7 colors (Vinicunca).
We will start the hike back to the village of Japura (Hanchipata), then we will return to Cusco arriving at around 7.00 p.m
Note: During the ascent we will have a backup horse in case of an emergency.

Day 7: LIMA INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT (B)

Transfer to the Airport to take the International Flight back home. End of the services.
